Yesterday I mentioned Daylesford Organics as one of the places we visited on our birthday trip to Gloucester. Daylesford Farmshop and Cafe is near Kingham not far from The Old School B and B, to visit both places is a real treat.

Two thing to do this weekend.
As we head into what I think are the four busiest months I think it's important to take more care of yourself. For some it's the back to school rush (thankfully for me those days are over), for others it's a time to clear up house and garden before the cold dark nights start to arrive, we rush around trying to pack the same into less daylight hours and generally wear ourselves out.
Three nice things today.
I have been doing more excercise lately as I have a trapped nerve in my back, my theory is that if I do more excersize every day and eat healthily, fruit veg etc, then I have tried to help myself. If that doesn't work I shall have to go to plan B, problem is I haven't worked out what plan B is yet and actually hope I don't have to.
Summer!
Yes the sun has appeared and it's lovely and warm, I am normally the first one out enjoying the sunshine, the first one to be out in the garden working away.This year from as early on as March I didn't really seem to get the gardening bug, maybe I knew what rubbish weather we were going to have in the U.K, maybe I am looking forward to October and my New England holiday, maybe it's because my favourite season is Autumn.
Two must have books.
I have two must have books to show you even if you don't intend to go to London or New York.They both have the same format and are both made from beautiful card stock paper. They are inspirational for design purposes and highly inspiring. I'm sure after looking at them you will want to go visit these two amazing cities. Don't expect the usual tourist places to visit, more like beautiful hidden gems.

Are you a hoarder?
I'm not a hoarder, if I don't use something off it goes. Sometimes this has been a big mistake, but in this case I don't think it is.My lovely little old camera that had served me well for years has gone on a journey, I loved the feel of it, have to confess I missed it when my new complicated camera arrived, but I decided that when the time was right I would give it up, not much use just sitting in a drawer.

A catch up weekend.
This weekend has been a catch up weekend, which is good as the weather is STILL pretty lousy.We have emptied the loft of my Son's stored belongings as he and his girlfriend move from Winchester to London next weekend. Because we don't have to help move them (horrrrraaaaahhhhhhhh!) we washed all linens and clothes and ironed them. We are good like that, but in reality it is just our way of helping, which as I've mentioned is infinitely better than driving a lorry to the centre of London.
I blame the rain!
This was how my day started, at work by 6.30am finish by 12.30, then gardening was on the agenda. I am so far behind with gardening due to the rain. My weekend.
Not an especially thrilling weekend but very productive, we cleared out the loft for the umpteenth time, except this time I mean seriously cleared it out!Photographs were culled, we decided that our two son's would not want a whole load of photographs of hills in the Lake District when we died (not that we are expecting to do this anytime soon!) so we have ended up with a box each of photographs for them to have to remind them of their childhood years.

Cooking for a baby shower.
After saying on yesterdays blog that I didn't do sugary colours today I have spent my entire day with just that!We baked for a baby shower to be held on Saturday, I discovered that a lot of icing sugar and butter makes me feel decidedly ill to say the least, however we are pleased with our end results but I don't want to see any more icing sugar this side of Christmas!

Some of you by now will know what I like and what my tastes are from previous blogs. I have been bombarded with all things Easter on my travels just lately, which largely seems to have consisted of pale sugary colours, something which for me, no matter how hard I try I just can't do, so when I found this beautiful time warn container I new that I would be able to do my own personal take on Easter.
