I have a huge amount of New England photo's so I'm going to introduce them to you in stages, today we are off to Vermont. Stowe is a fantastic place to stay and visit, it has a wealth of amazing things to see and do for such a small remote place. you can send off for a tourist info pack by clicking here.

Another nice place to visit is Burlington.

One of my favourite long time American artists is Warren Kimble, who lives and works in Vermont, another favourite person is Wilson Bentley or Snowflake Bentley as people liked to call him, this is what he once said, "Under the microscope, I found that snowflakes were miracles of beauty; and it seemed a shame that this beauty should not be seen and appreciated by others. Every crystal was a masterpiece of design and no one design was ever repeated., When a snowflake melted, that design was forever lost. Just that much beauty was gone, without leaving any record behind." Visit his exhibition in a lovely old red building in Jericho Vermont.

I'm biased as one of my favourite things is snow, Vermont has plenty of this from November through to April.

The people in Vermont are so friendly and the scenery is just stunning.
