There has been a Watermill at Michelam Priory since at least 1434, it, like most watermill's is in a lovely setting. We were fortunate enough to arrive just in time to see milling taking place. I love the sound of Watermill's and have fantasised more than once about living in one.I know there is always the risk of flooding, but that amazing sound of the water and the wildlife it attracts (minus the mice) would more than make up for that.
Here is the magical barn that is available for hire at Michelam Priory that I mentioned in my previous blog, what a great place for a barn dance where all ages can be included.
I had a quick look at some privately owned watermills, just incase those number come up!
Plus one that has been done up to a very high standard and is available for hire as a holiday treat.
