Lindfield West Sussex.

Linfield in West Sussex is always a nice place for a stroll around. The ancient High Street, lined with lime trees, has over forty medieval and post medieval timber-framed houses. The name Lindfield means open land with lime trees.

I lived close by in another village when my children were just babies, we spent many an afternoon feeding the ducks on the natural spring fed pond. We watched cricket, which has been played on the common since 1747. My car broke down there once. The RAC man couldn't believe it when he arrived as I was sat in a garden chair, (which just happened to be left in my boot), whilst eating strawberries watching the cricket. If you are going to break down it is a perfect place to do it!

A visit to Limes is also a nice place for lunch.
