The best sort of Gym

Recently I have joined a gym, there are no fees, the views are good and entertainment comes and goes. As yet there has been no testosterone males showing off just how fit they are, no females that have spent 3 hours looking good before they get to the gym, and best of all no sweaty smell perfuming the air.

Granted the machines are not top spec, they have to be robust for obvious reasons, and the rowing machine is more an instrument of back torture, which is a shame because I love rowing.

But non the less I still think it's more than worthwhile, the best thing I pay for in my Council Tax I think.

My entertainment comes mostly from dogs and their owners, with the odd confrontation between dog owners and non dog owners thrown in for good measure. I also watch squirrels playing in the trees, the odd fox hunting for food and on one occasion an owl.

It is very quiet as I go VERY early, I love it.

If you shut your eyes whilst on one of the machines you can just hear the wind rustling in the trees and birdsong, with the occasional 'Oscar' (add your own dog name) come on we are going home now, or slight variations on that sort of theme all depending on how obedient the dog is.

Time goes quickly and you hardly realise that you have gone there to exercise. A thirty minute walk/run around the block to finish off and then back home.

Excellent.

Do you have an outdoor gym in your area?
