Stowe Vermont USA

We arrived in the pretty little town of Stowe today, we thought maybe the mountains would have some snow on the tops of them, this is a popular ski area in the winter. Instead of that we have been walking about in 69 degrees! The man on reception did warn us that a weather front is coming in about tuesday, if it hits the warm air it could dump significant amounts of snow on this little town, we wait and see. Now I'm a huge fan of snow and I would like to see some, however, I would also like to catch my plane home on thursday, living out of a suitcase will have worn a bit thin by then. Also I am hankering after a decent cup of tea, (how very english) and some of Mr B's cooking. We decided that being a vegetarian like Mr B, and not eating cheese like myself, is a bit limiting in the USA. This morning after telling the breakfast chef at our last Inn that Mr B was vegetarian, we were greeted with an omelette sort of thing, with mushrooms, caramelised onions, garlic, and the all important Brussel sprouts and broccoli! This was Mr B's breakfast, the look on his face was a picture, and the chef obviously thought that he should have looked more grateful! If we don't catch our plane home on thursday Mr B will look like a lump of cheese, and I will look like a chicken.

You catch glimpses of the river as you walk the five mile path, its very pretty, although hurricane Irene still shows the scars in places from last year.
