Good finds of the day and an 'oh my god' moment.

Woodstock in Southern Vermont has some beautiful old buildings.

It also has its own covered bridge and some beautiful trees.

Now going back a few days, we stayed at an Inn called the Henry Farm Inn, which is actually not that far from Woodstock, I commented to my husband how much the owner looked like my friend back in the U.K called Terri Mace. This is Pat the owner of the Henry Farm Inn on the left, with her husband Paul.

Going back to our trip around Woodstock today, I was just taking a photograph of these green pumpkins, when, I heard Mr B say "Good god" I stood up to see my friend, (who I haven't seen for about a year) Terri Mace and her husband!!!!!!!!! They live only about three quarters of a mile away from me in the U.K They were on a weeks coach trip having visited New York, Boston, and various other places. The coach had stopped for 1 hour, yes 1 hour, and there they were, right in front of me. After lots of 'Oh my gods' from all four of us, we had a quick coffee together, chatted about what we had seen and done, then there they were, gone, back on their coach, to who knows where. We will have some catching up to do when we all get home. How very very bazaar is that.

Woodstock also boasts its own mountain that is called Mount Tom, having got a son called Tom it just had to be climbed. The climb was a bit zig zaggy, a bit warm, and some fared better than others when they had reached the top! We got some exercise, I got my fix of rust, moss, and all things decaying, so all was good.

Fast forward to the afternoon, and Mr B very kindly offered to go back to a store I had spotted a few days back, I think the idea of driving a car, as opposed to climbing any more mountains, was very appealing. So for all you lovers of all things cosy, here is a treat for you. Here is Simply Country in Chester Vermont, a beautiful shop owned by Kathy Bolaski. There is no web site, so it's just the pictures, then you will just have to book your holiday to visit the shop I'm afraid! Enjoy.
