I have a lot of cards that I really like and a lot of black frames, I also have a downstairs loo that really needs some attention to make it look good. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder.
Sam
Happy Valentines Day.
This is definitely my kind of interior.
I found this house today whilst searching for a way to improve my house. It belonged to Nancy Fishelson, she is a restorer of houses, and is amazing at turning an old house, sympathetically, into a comfortable modern home. The house is a 1795 clapboard house on 20 acres in Woodbury, Connecticut, New England. This is the house in it's original form.
Cushions, how many do you have?
I am a self confessed cushion collector, in my opinion you just cant have enough! Every chair needs one, all beds need as many as you can possibly stack onto them, and the Sofa well, do you really need to sit on it? My favourites come from Lexington, H&M home, Shops in New England, Warren Kimble, Betsy Jarvis, The Country Carriage and me.
This Weekend
It's been cold but no snow! A visit to Wickham Mill provided a nice old shaker stool to paint, and J'adore la maison and Tom supplied some Chalk Board paint, the Chalk board is now up and running if not a little empty at the moment, thank go to you both, I wasn't sure about it but now love it, I'm sure it will make very interesting reading over the coming months!
Thanks for dinner!
I'm having a blast of the past!
Treacle
This is my cat Treacle, strictly speaking she belongs to my Sons but they forgot to take her with them when they left home!
My youngest son left home five years ago and for this Treacle has never really forgiven him! She has got better in recent months in as much as she will stay in the house when he visit's, all be it not in the same room.
Do you like Sculpture's?
A trip to a sculpture park makes a great day out and gives lots of photo opportunities. Some of my favourite places to visit are the Cass sculpture park, Broomhill sculpture park,Hannah Peschar,The Sculpture Park in Surrey, Fresh air sculpture in Glos. Anywhere that Phillip Jackson is exhibiting, and anything that my son Sam has sculpted, the paper boots are his work.
The Soup, my last day with the hat!
Resting?
Have you been resting today before getting back to normal?
I considered taking down the decorations but couldn't face it, I may regret this!
We had an exploding chestnut, it's amazing how far a single chestnut can spread, and it's quite funny really once you have gotten over the shock of not actually being shot by a gunman in your house!
