I would love to be here for New Years Day, it is The Inns at mill Falls in New Hampshire, New England USA, perfect service, perfect views, twinkly lights, good food and nice coffee. Not wishing to brag but have you noticed the badge, who needs an MBE in the New Years honours list when you have one of these! If you are considering visiting New England and especially New Hampshire get in touch with me and I will bore you to death and help you with your plans. Anyone not liking New England had better leave the blog now as you are going to get very bored in the next 12 months, but for those of you who are willing to tough it out you will feel like you have visited the place from the comfort of your own home!
Let me introduce you to Mr B my husband of the last 32 years! He bears the striking resemblence to a famous rock star in a famous (older, I'm being kind) rock band, not the one with the skinny pony tail but the other one with the blonde hair and the gravely voice. We have been chased down the street, locked into some places, and shouted at from passing car windows, the fame is mostly amusing, but ocacsionally like when you are in Waitrose it can be a tad annoying. So for 2012 Mr B has come up with a cunning disguise which consists of 2 of his favourite Christmas presents, I think it will do the trick! More of Mr B in future posts I'm sure.
I learn a lot from my two sons when I see them, they are very arty and have artistic professions and are perfectionists, here are two things I would like to share from my Christmas spent with them, I hope you enjoy them.
Kate Forrester, if you bought the Christmas Radio Times you will have seen her work on the front cover. Thank you Sam.
Plumen light bulbs, I would like a nice Urban type appartment with textured brick walls, unusual metal cabinets for storage and a large wooden old table with zinc stools and these lightbulbs with black bows hanging down. Thank you Tom.
