Today was the day of the Naomi House Santa run, sadly Sam has torn a ligament in his knee and hasn't been able to run for a few days now, he thought he might be better for the run but unfortunately not, Sam is one very disappointed person, not only about the run but for not being able to run on a daily basis. He admits to enjoying his day more if he runs and can think more clearly, so it's off to the university physiotherapist tomorrow to get some help. Sam did walk part of the course so we hope that counts for those of you that sponsored him. Mr B however had a lovely run with his fellow Santa's and enjoyed the mince pie and drink given to him at the end. Thank you for all your sponsorship help it is going to a good cause.
Number and Santa suit collected.
Looking gorgeous!
The beard doesn't really match the hair but never mind!
What's worse than tearing a ligament in your knee? Watching the race you are supposed to be running in!
Mr B and fellow Santa's
No not being sick, just a little limbering up.
Stretching the calf muscles, sorry Sam.
Off to the start of the race.
A quick warm up with the other Santa's
I find a lovely dog to sit and have a coffee with whilst the Santa's head off, much more sensible. The owners were also lovely, you know when you talk to someone for five minutes and you just think, 'you are my kind of person' well they were it. We had a really good laugh about not having young children any more and the benefits of not attending parent's evenings. This was all spurred on by five small, very loud little girls sitting next to us whilst the yummy mummies ignored them, we both breathed a sigh of relief in unison when they left. The yummy mummies had been chatting about their impending ski trip, we both fell about laughing saying god help all the poor people that are going on the same holiday! I want the dog owner and her husband for my friend collection, and the dog, isn't he lovely.
Got the Santa suit, got the medal, all done. Nice work Mr B, now get back to making toy's there is not long to go.
