Are you like me and trying not to spend any money in January? I think it's all that excess in December it brings out the Scrooge in me.I've just delved into the freezer to see what weird and wonderful meals we can eat next week, there are a few things in there that you would only buy in December. Some Cranberries, (Ahhhh Cranberry bogs in New England are amazing). Various bits of party food, (perhaps the cat would eat them!), sausages in bacon, my eldest son loves them, but only apparently at Christmas! My favourite thing in the freezer at the moment is some Blueberries and Raspberries, great on your breakfast, but so much more amazing to look at especially when frozen!
It was brought to my attention today that fascinators will be banned from the Ascot royal enclosure this year, it will be hat's only I'm afraid should you have been invited! Now I have to confess fascinators just don't do it for me, I always feel compelled to hand the wearer a fly swat to get the offending article removed from their head as quickly as possible.
I rest my case!
Although read here to realise that all is not lost.
However should you pin me down and force me to wear one I'll go for this next picture, mainly because, as you know from the blog entitled 'I'm partial to a bit of rust, mould and moss', I'm just that kind of girl! It could do with a few more twigs and lichen though, and maybe the odd wild mushroom, I don't want to look totally stupid!
Lastly do you know what this is? All will be revealed on friday.
