For Christmas me and my husband gave each otherGrouponvouchers for a night each at The George in Rye, We have been lucky enough to stay there before, but at £245 per night its a rare treat, the groupon vouchers allowed us the same style room but for only £99 per night, excellent. We decided to go for my birthday and had a fantastic three days. We used to live in East sussex and enjoy a visit back from time to time, I miss it, it's very beautiful.
Rye is full of history including ghost and smuggling stories
It is also full of quirky front doors, and beautiful old independent shops

Even the fish and chip shop has a chandelier that made me smile.
There are so many things to show you from Rye that I may have to stretch to three blogs. Although Rye is a small place you can easily spend a few days there just strolling around the old streets, something unusual appears around every corner, and not a chain store in sight.
